Finance Free Friday
Good morning, all! Well, I'm hoping that today will be a fun and successful day. My mother called me last night and said that she was cleaning out the silver drawer and she found a Wal-Mart gift card that she had bought me for Christmas but forgot where she had hidden it. She does this (or my Dad does) every year with either me or dh. Anyway, she doesn't remember how much it's for, but she and I are going shopping today and she's going to give it to me. I'm excited because I need some new shoes for school. The ones I have are NOT comfortable for pregnant feet to be in all day long, so I need at least one new pair. And now, they'll be free! Then, she said she wanted to take me to the maternity store and buy me one new outfit for school, since I've "popped" so much earlier than last time and all of my maternity stuff is for late fall and winter and it's still hot here. (Yes, it sounds like I'm a kid and my Mom is taking me back to school shopping, but I am the only child of two only children and giving them a second grandchild has now put me at holy status.)
However, there are still chores to do around the house. So, before we go and after we return, I need to:
1. brush the dog
2. sweep the floors (I keep thinking that the more I brush the dog, the less I should have to sweep the floors. Not working out that way.)
3. Get all the computer cd's and their cases and take them out of the boxes, put them in the cd holder we had in the garage, recycle the boxes, file the instruction manuals. (Much less space being eaten up this way.)
4. Start some laundry.
5. Make the beds.
6. Go to bank to deposit dh's paycheck.
7. Pay the American Express bill.My Blog: http://amysreallife.wordpress.com

What a nice surprise Amy. Enjoy your back to school shopping.

Good morning everyone!
Got off to a good start this morning with 2 loads of laundry washed & one on the line. T-storms are supposed to come through this afternoon and I want to try and get the clothes dried before it hits.
Fall is in the air with these cool mornings, I love it!
The paper tiger has been getting out of control so I've been purging my house of it the past few days. Seems like there are a zillion papers everywhere. I love starting the school year with everything in it's place and place for everything. I'll probably be doing some more decluttering today.
Heading downstairs to the freezer to pick out something for dinner & grab my next load of laundry to dry. What fun Weeeeeeeeee
Have a great day all!~*Darlene*~

Hello all! Today I went to the doctor. Everything is going spendidly with the baby. We might go to the big PX in Wurzburg to get some shopping done. I have ran the dishwasher once today already. I guess the rest of the day will be spent picking up and straightening the house.
Hope you all have a great weekend!

Hi Ladies!
Today we are celebrating Josh and Chris's birthdays. They turn 14 on Sunday. We're setting up the tent in the front yard and they are inviting 2 friends to spend the night. We're paying for the kids to all go to the midnight swim at the pool, DH is bringing home pizza and I still have to make a cake.
Other than that, we have the usual laundry, cleaning house and schoolwork to do. Yesterday was my running errands day, so I'm perfectly content to stay home today.

This is a late post--but it has been a busy day.
Checked my work email this AM and realized I better drop by work to handle a few things, even though I'm on maternity leave.
Packed up DD and we went to work for about 1 hour and then went to visit my sister at her work and went out to lunch--YUM! Just got home at 2:30 and immediately straightened up the house, folded and started a load of laundry, started dishwasher and made beds. Now I need to get mail, feed DD and start addressing baby announcements.
Whew--busy day! Once DH gets home I may try to run a few errands before we go visit with his folks.
Hope you all have a great holiday weekend!

Things are pretty quiet here. DH and I are not doing anything major for the holiday weekend. He is napping right now and I am getting together my grocery list. Hoping the store won't be crowded tonite so I can get my shopping done and over with. I am so glad we have this three day weekend. Sleepin' late tomorrow!!! LOL
