    Default Frugal Friday 8/25

    Morning all!

Today's gonna be a busy one. I hope you all are having a great day getting ready for a fun weekend. If not fun, at least frugal , how 'bout that?

    For me it's:

    ~2 loads of laundry
~grate 4 zucchini to freeze for z. bread later on
~chop some onions to freeze for next batch of salsa (I bought a bunch on sale)
    ~workout
~run around with damp mop on floors
    ~swish and swipe bathrooms
    ~lay out chicken to thaw
    ~shower/hair/makeup
    ~chiropractor appt. this afternoon
    ~chicken something for dinner
    ~answer a couple of emails

What's up with you all today?

~48 yr. old sahw, livin' it up in our empty nest, smack dab in the middle of everywhere.~

I have to take Matilda ( my computer) in for her spa treatment, she is not running so well.

    I am babysitting this afternoon.
I need to pick up just a couple of things at the grocery store (bread, fruit)
I absolutely MUST stop procrastinating and clean my darn room.
    Change the kitty litter
Put away the seven, yes, seven loads of laundry that are folded and sitting in hampers in my overcrowded upstairs hallway.
Vaccuum the main floor and playroom.
Mop the kitchen and dining room.

I've already finished all the morning farm chores and dishes and now off to:

Pick tomatos, okra, beans and freeze
    harvest and package more catnip
    do a load of laundry
    Figure out dinner
    sweep the family room

    Then evening chores
    dinner

It's another busy day here as well. I have to run and unload the dishwasher, make all the beds, vacuum and dust the living room, do 4 loads of laundry, finish cleaning out and organizing the sunroom, pay some bills, pack for camping, clean off the front porch and load the car. Yesterday I de-cluttered the hall closet and cleaned under the bed. This house is almost totally organized and de-cluttered and I am feeling great! Things already seem to be flowing in the house and everything is easier to find/get to. I am loving it!

    I have the day off!!!

I have to run up & pay the Time Warner bill (with my tips ). I was going to go to the library, but I just remembered I have to drive my oldest 20 minutes away to a sleep over, so I don't want to use up gas driving in the opposite direction to the library too.

There was something else I needed to do but I can't think right now, kids are fighting over who ate the last of something. Only 11 days untils chool starts

I have laundry, pick up the downstairs, run the dishwasher, and make the bed.

Today is the first day of my 9-day vacation, and I plan on doing very, very little!!

This afternoon I do have to pick my husband up from work, so I'm going to do a little shopping then. I'm doing the bills this morning, and I might do a little cleaning. I have a feeling I'm not going to get around to the cleaning though.

I work tonight and tomorrow night so for me today it will be a little light housework and then a nice long nap this afternoon before work.

Well today, I will fix lunch for me and the kids; hot dogs and macaroni salad and lemonade. Then I have to do a quick pick-up in the house, do laundry, work more in my bedroom. I think I'll put something in the crock pot for supper.

The morning started as usual. Up at 6 am, made breakfast and lunches, took daughter to school, back home to feed goats, dogs and cats. Called contractor to find out when roofer will come out cause during a severe thunderstorm last night, we discovered that there was a leak in the roof of the new house. At least we got some much needed rain! I'm a little though cause it looks like it may start raining again. Got one load of clothes in the washer and still have a load to fold, wash breakfast dishes and pick up a few things when I pick daughter up from school this afternoon.

Well, so much for my frugal Friday. I have to pick up 3 RX's that will cost over $100. Darn It! I was just getting into my frugal stride.

However, we haven't eaten out in quite a while and so I've saved about $100 so we won't feel that squeeze too much.

I brought my coupons to work to file in my coupon organizer (Big Lots 50 cents).

I need to call Wal-Mart and Big Lots here to check to see if they honor internet coupons.

I want to start on my grocery list for next month using my coupons.

I think I've got my curriculum written, so all I need to do now if file all 36 weeks worth of homeschool activities x's 2.

Cleaning out the spare bedroom closet for dsd arriving next week.

Got up at 6:15 and made breakfast for DH and DD and got them off to work and school. Then went to Store to grocery shop, put gas in Jeep, stopped at Lowes to order decorative siding for house, can't order till Monday , home for lunch, then out to mow neighbor's farm lane, coming back in to start supper and not sure after that.

My neighbors had a new roof put on so my windows are filthy. So I guess I am getting a jump start on fall cleaning. I cleaned the kitchen windows today including all the mini blinds which I was really tempted to throw away and buy new. I also washed and pressed the curtains. I really wish we were somewhere a little more isolated and needed no window treatments! DD was home from work today so she sucked me into Judging Amy reruns for 2 hours.
Dinner hour is almost here and after that a trip to the grocery store.

Got up at 5AM, went to work for 1/2 day, took a nap. Now I need to finish the laundry, vacuum, get library books together for tomorrow. DH is making pizza for dinner. Then will sit around and crochet or read before bed.
