    Default Frigid Friday

Or at least it feels like it. It's 29* outside, no snow today as of yet, but I suspect I will spend another day in my room keeping warm. Got DH and DD off to work and school, and it is chilly in the house, so it's off to my room to work on knitting a dish cloth.
What are you all up to today?

Burrr!! It's 37* here...still haven't turned on the heat. Really glad I don't live in Buffalo today They got over a foot of lake effect snow! We didn't even get a single flake. Yet. Ds was very disappointed lol.

Today I HAVE to get caught up on the laundry and iron my shirts for work this weekend. I'm also knitting up a yummy scarf in Patons SWS that is just soooo soft I want to lay on it I'm also working on dishcloth #2 of 4 for a Christmas gift and STILL waiting on my KnitPicks order that's been sitting in PA for three days

Oh, and the usual...pick up the house, run the dishwasher, make the bed. I think I'll make some rice custard that I didn't make yesterday.

It was a frosty morning here. I'll admit it Joe and I are wusses and the heats been on a few times this year already....lol Must admit I am loving the new house with the garage, not having to crank the car 10 minutes before leaving or scrape windshields is great.

Have a good and safe weekend and Friday the 13th all.

It was a chilly 36 degrees here this morning. We have not turned on our heat yet. Inside the house it is still around 60, so its really not unbearable.

It's 32 degrees here now. I have the thermostat at 71 degrees but I'm going to lower it. Nobody is home except me so I can go lower.

    Today I have to:
Study ( I have 2 tests coming up next week in school )
    Clean the kitchen
    Go to the library
    Straighten up the bathroom
    And tonight...watch baseball!!

It is cool here, in the 40s but is suppose to warm up as the day goes by. I plan on doing some yard work and gettting caught up on laundry.

Well, the original plan for today was to drive to my parents house and do laundry - they're out of town and offered to let me use their washer and dryer (we pay $1.50 for the washer and $1.50 for the dryer here). So I figured I'd save a bit of money and I could finally try the dye remover I bought for the load of "pinks" I got accidentally. Owen was up every hour last night, and has been hungry about every hour this morning, so around 1pm I gave up on the idea, figuring I want to be here when DH gets home.

    Actually accomplished:
*Took out 5 bags of trash (5 trips down to the car with the baby sling and then had to put the little guy in the car seat to drive to the dumpster - good workout for me!)
*Got a call from an old friend I used to work with in CO two years ago
*Put together one of the bouncers we received. I think Owen may have some kind of cold - he has been coughing and sneezing and fussing all day. He doesn't have a temp. and his nose isn't running. However, he would fuss and wail if I wasn't holding him, and after a while I need to eat, drink water, and pee. So I got the bouncer together and now he's peacefully sleeping right next to me.

    Still working on:
    *empty/fill dishwasher
*need to come up with a plan for dinner tonight
*want to get more shower thank-you's written. I got 7 done yesterday, have 15-20 more to go!

And for once I'm glad I live in New England - it's a bright and sunny 60 degree day here today! DH and I talked this morning about needing to take out the A/C this weekend, though, in prep for winter. I also checked and found out our programmable thermostat needs batteries.

Had a busy day at work. I did manage to go to the grocery store during my lunch hour and pick up some things on sale that I needed. Got hubby off to work for tonite. Thought I'd relax a little in front of the computer then start in on the laundry and get the living room dusted and vaccumed tonight.
