Looking out the window it's beautiful but it's -32 today. Dh took the van so he could get some overtime so our neighbour dropped the kids off at school when she left this morning. I've already showered and gave Emily a bath and done 2 loads of laumdry. Still to do: clean the kitchen, start dinner, finish the crossstitch I'm doing, and go through the craft stuff and downsize.
Hope everyone has a great day.

    Afternoon everyone.

It's cold and cloudy here today. They're predicting rain for Sunday. The temps in the 60s. Crazy weather for the middle of January.

    Today I've:

    Wiped down the bathroom
    Cleaned-up the kitchen
    Ate lunch
    Chatted with friends on-line
    Sent email
Ran the vac over the floors
Took care of the kitty's needs
Tried to stare down the pile of things in the corner that need to be put elsewhere.
Practiced piano for church on Sunday

This evening my sister and her husband are coming; we're having chili (in the crock put simmering) for supper and will play games and catch up.

Hope everyone expecting the bad weather will fair well and stay safe.

Fabulous Friday is right! I had to do a day shift instead of my evening shift today. I was supposed to work until 3:30, but my boss let me go at 11:30! I'm going to have lots of extra hours this month that I need to get back somehow.

Usually I work the holidays that are staff holidays but the library still opens part of a day, but my boss said she had to come in Monday anyway to handle the interlibrary loan, so I actually get a holiday off! My long "weekend" will be Mon - Wed next week.

Haven't done anything very constructive yet at home, but need to start.

Well today isn't bad. Went to work early and took off early because of the lovely weather we are having. DD is spending the night with a friend so it is just me and DH. I am going to try to get some things organized in the office. After that work on some scrapping and some sewing. Also, just trying not to fall on my hiney when I take the dog outside.

Good evening villagers! It's been a busy day for me today. It's in the teens here, snowing and we're expecting ice again....ugh. Dh is socked in in Chicago....

    So far today I've:
    ~worked out
    ~showered/hair/makeup
~ran to the store for gro. and the p.o.
~got labels from dh's office and fed his barn cats
~did my quarterly reports, W-2's, W-3's, 940's, and sales tax
~typed up and printed off address labels (in duplicate for the bride to have a set for thank you notes)
~washed the rest of the thrifting booty
    ~made the bed
~another coat of laquer on my nails
~talked to a friend for a nice, long time---needed to catch up
~poured up drinking water and extra water in case we lose power in this storm

That's about it. I'm done now. I'm gonna play on the puter and write a letter this evening while I wait to hear if Gripey will be home tonight or not.

~48 yr. old sahw, livin' it up in our empty nest, smack dab in the middle of everywhere.~

*We're debt freeeeeeeee! (including the house)*
