    Default Frugal Friday

Well it won't be too frugal here today if things go as planned. We are going to the Minnesota State Fair!! YAY! I can't wait.

Anyways... before that I have to:

    do dishes
    clean up kitchen
should do laundry, but probably won't
mail out 1 trade and 1 coupon train

Hope you all have a great day and a wonderful holiday weekend!!!

Okay, well, I had a wrench thrown in the works of Frugal Friday, so it may actually be more frugal that I had planned. Originally, I needed to drive to Summit (about 20 minutes away) to pick up some new piano books for my new piano students this fall. However, when I dropped dd off at daycare this morning, my daycare woman asked if I could possibly pick up dd early, like 2:30 instead of 4:00 because they are throwing a slumber party for her 12 year old daughter and she wants to get the house ready. Normally, no problem, and of course I said, "fine", however, tonight I am going out with the girls (one of my best friends is in town from SanFrancisco and I can't wait to see her!) but they want to go into NYC and take the 4:00 train. I was going to see if my Mom could watch dd until dh gets home at 5:30, but now I may need her to come earlier so I can get ready and she can watch dd while I shower. Basically, no time for the piano stuff, which was high on my list of to-do. Oh well...my lessons don't start for another 2 weeks, so maybe next weekend. Anyway, I need to:

change and wash sheets on beds
    do dd's laundry
wrap the rest of the nephews Christmas presents and put in basement
    go to the dry cleaner
    mail letter to sil
figure out and cook dinner for dd and dh (If I don't cook it, he'll pick something up on the way home and I'd rather not spend the $$)
    make cookies
    clean windows and glass doors

Going to be frugal Friday here.

    - no a/c
    - our main meal is going to cost $0 - right out of the garden and freshly caught fish
    - making muffins with fresh applesauce (apples were free)
    - will finish painting the m/bedroom

Hope everyone has a great frugal Friday and a great weekend.

Today should be a frugal friday for me. Just work and then relaxing at home. I got a lot accomplished yesterday after work. I washed a lot of dishes, picked up the house, packed up half.com items, balanced checkbook, made dinner, etc.

Tonight I hope to start the laundry and bake some zucchini muffins.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Happy Frugal Friday! Paid the car payment, so that shoots my frugality for the day. I wanted to drop some consignment stuff off today, but they need to be ironed. Maybe next week after DD's go back to school.

DD1 just got her bus pass-she gets the bus at 6:42 a.m.! It's still dark out then, and the bus stop is not within sight distance of the house. We are within walking distance to school, so I don't know why she is 1st run. Have to ponder that one.

    So far today I have:
Dropped car payment off to DH
    ran dishwasher
    fed and changed baby
    did 2 loads of laundry
came back to DD2 cleaning the whole house
Need to give DD1 kick in the pants to vacuum

DD1 and I are going to try some OAMC today. She is eagerly learning to cook, which is wonderful because at her age, I had better things to do.

Yesterday the freezer was left open overnight! THANK GOODNESS there was hardly anything in it, I'm getting ready to do some bulk meat purchases. The ground beef is $.98 on Sunday only this weekend, and the chicken breast is $1.99 at Shop Rite next week. I only ended up having to brown 1 lb of ground beef, 1 pound ground turkey, and I will have to cook a whole turkey this weekend. I lost 2 boxes of popsicles and my mom lost a bag of clams. Not too bad. It could have been a major disaster!

Have a wonderful day! I think I'll go eat breakfast now that it's almost lunch time!

Should be frugal here too. Only money spent was for a gallon of water. Least amount of money we have spent all week.

I woke up later than usual today, but I still have things to get done, and will tend to when Iget off the computer. Then, it is off to work again.

    sweep
    laundry
    pick up
    water plants
    write out bills
    dishes

Should be fairly frugal for us today.

Did get to "sleep in" a bit this morning.

So far this morning, I've been tidying up house, washing clothes
& packing for our trip to my parent's around noon today.
We'll probably stop at McD's & eat lunch in the car on the road.

B = frosted mini wheats, water, tang
    L = McDonald's
D = my Mom is cooking (shrimp fettucine (sp), salad, brownies,
    ice cream).

    Have a great weekend everyone.

My Friday will not be frugal! First I have an appointment at 10am. It is 9:07 and I am sitting here with wet hair, I better get busy. Then I have a friend that wants to come over tonight but I don't know what time she is coming over. I need to go grocery shopping at the commisary this afternoon. I need to order the slipcover for my couch dh said I could buy. I figure it is cheaper than buying a new couch. I might stop at Payless to see what is on clearance. I have been such a clearance shopper lately! Anyway, I washed all the laundry and folded it yesterday so dh is putting it away while I am at my appt. That is about it today.

I ended up sleeping this morning, just a bit. DS woke up last night with nightmares and it took a couple of hours to get him back to sleep. Left out at 7:30 to hit the church garage sale, found two knitting looms--med size for .10 and large for .25-- as well as a big stack of books for the kids, and a couple of early 1900's books for me. The hb's were .25 and the pb's were .10 . I followed this up with a visit to Aldi's and got a bunch of the remaining stocking up I have to do before the layoff taken care of. Ran to Wmart, stocked up on TP and picked up some camo yarn for the hats I'm making to sell. Back home and worn out. LOL! Can't imagine why...

    Today, I still have to:

    Inventory the freezer

    wash dishes and put away

finish knitting a hat--starting the decreases at the top

    assemble a baby afghan

make more banana bread for the freezer

    wash and hang out laundry

    make regular bread

    edit stock up list

    make dinner

    clean out fridge

and, if there's time, finish perusing my latest yarn catalog that I won't be ordering out of.

Hope y'all have a great day!!

I also slept in today, because I just could not fall asleep last night! I tried opening the window which usually does the trick, but it didn't! my poor dh couldn't sleep either..

So so far I have done my morning routine..(but haven't done any exercise so far except for some stretching)

plus I've changed Ayla's sheets..swept and mopped the kitchen floor..vacuumed..started a load of dishes and scrubbed the glass dishes with a brillo pad..I read to her a lot..it's so cute she likes to sit in her little rocking chair!

I've just gotten her lunch made..and i ate half of it since she decided she was done lol..

I need to go to Ralphs today if I want to take advantage of some coke coupons that expire today ...I just don't know how much I can spend without dipping into our rent money..I hate how my husband won't tell me our financial situation when I want to know!

    Today I'd like to:

    File my nails*done*/paint them
    Study
    Clean up bathroom
    Do a load of laundry*done*
    Tan
    go to Ralphs
    Put away dishes

breakfast: Life cereal with half a banana
Lunch : grilled cheese sandwhich w/ some tomato and a slice of pineapple
Dinner: Grilled cheese for dh..for me..refried beans and rice and a salad

I had to make a double water payment--lost last month's somewhere . We are going to the fair tomorrow to see our oldest nephew compete in the state spelling bee. A friend called today and has two extra tickets to the fair! One of her co-workers won them and had already been to the fair, so she used two and gave us two! Hooray--it saves us $14.00!

The air conditioning went out yesterday so I had to call to amke an appointment today. They can't get to us until Thursday because of my weird work schedule! Pray for cool weather. I do NOT do well in the heat.
