Frugal Friday - what's everyone up to?
This morning I had my 8am aka "buttcrack of dawn" class. Yuck. Trying to learn computer architecture at 8am on a Friday morning with only 1 cup of coffee in me is not conducive to good learning

After my class I ran over to Price Chopper for some loss leaders... Peanut butter 10/$10, 15lbs Russet potatoes $3.99, 24 Kaiser rolls $2.99, cheese ravioli 10/$10, and Butterball turkey bacon 2/$1.99!!!
Now I'm home for a few hours before my afternoon class. Good thing the laundry & vacuuming got done yesterday cuz today it's too hot to do anything! It's not even noon yet and it's already 83*, we're supposed to get up in the low-90s today.
After my 1pm class I have to rush over & pick up the kids. Then home. Tonight I have to wrap ds's birthday presents. His birthday is Monday but we are celebrating on Sunday. He picked Ponderosa for his birthday dinner. Double yuck. But it's his choice. I have to go out on Saturday to the commissary to pick up an ice cream cake. They sell them there for $8 less than they do here in town, so that's a no brainer.
Sunday I may take the kids to this Train Collector's Festival. Depends on how they are being behavior-wise

So far this morning I have showered, washed my hair and done a little housework. This afternoon we have an electrician coming out (this will NOT be frugal) because the power is off in two bedrooms and no breakers are popped so we don't know what the problem is. Dh's son is an electrician so we called the company he owns, maybe we'll get a price break? I also need to do some reading for school. I think I"ll get back to the housework now...

Trying to get the house cleaned still. Going to cut the grass, at least a little. It's very hot outside, and I'm getting a late start.

Waiting for cousin to get back with some tools we need to work on the house. His bid went through, so we are going to start the removal process. I have been up and down on the ladder, and for a gal in reasonable shape, I hurt like heck!!!But enjoying a "paying job". Hope it will bring enough for me to purchase a clock at Christmas for DH.(also hoping I don't wimp out. Those big red wasps are all over the place.)

Rained out. Muddy and yucky. Revised plans are to do some basic pick up and relax.

I have just been cleaning today, nothing special. DH wants to go to the Angels' baseball game tonight. His brother got us some free tickets. I am a little nervous because baseball games make it really easy to spend money.

Work today as usual... Going home and having homemade (cheap) bean and veggie soup for supper.
Nothing terribly exciting...
