Oh WOW!! How exciting! I'm so grateful that you took the time and all of the energy involved in creating and running FV (you too Gabe
), its really helped change my life. im only 23 but when i stand back now and look at my life and the lives of other people my age (or work or from school) its like.. whoa. something really just clicked in me after becoming a part of the village. money is just money. its not going to make me happy or make my life better by being spent and if anything, just makes things more complicated for myself and causes more stress. the less i spend on wants and the more i focus on needs - i can really set myself up to be in a good place when im older and not have to worry like i see my grandmother worry on a regular basis. she has a mortgage and monthly bills plus doctor's co pays and medicine and she has to figure it all out of a monthly ss check. no wiggle room at all. it feels good to know that i can pay my bills, save over 30% of my check and still help her with her utilities. and im not just paying them, im teaching her (new energy efficient light bulbs, not forgetting to let the sprinkler run, hang drying clothes outside). thank you sara.
