    Default Another interview.

I've been feeling a little anxious. In July, I lose 1 child, I dont' know if she's returning, I *think* she is in September, but she's part-time so not a huge hit, but I have a full-timer that is leaving and will only be one day a week. Summers are always very lean here, with holidays, etc. But I started advertising to fill that spot. NO inquiries, actaully there was one, but the whole tone of the email was, she was going to be running my dayhome if her child were to come here, I didn't even reply. But today I got an email, and I called her. She seems so pleasant on the phone. It would be a relatively short day, 7:30-4. Full time. Wants to start mId July, which is only 1 week later than I said I was available. she was willing to pay me a full month NOW to hold the space if she likes my home! This relieves me tremendously. And I have another child coming in August, prepaid as well.

I had a falling out with a fellow provider as she didn't pay her hosting bill to me. I had disabled the site as she ignored several requests for payment. I was thinking she might be badmouthing me. I ahve no way to find out. But I still have a constant trickle of inquiries. And I don't want to have a tone of interviews if I can avoid it. Just a couple. But I was wondering if I had a bad rep or something. But apparently she's been quiet about it. Afterall, it was her doing not mine.

But that would make my summer income ALMOST 100% of regular time. That would be a relief for sure.

Well it sounds as if your spots are going to get filled so you won't have to guess about income. Glad things seem to be working out for you!

All you can ever do is your best. You can second guess that problem with one person till the cows come home but it won't change a thing.

I have a second interview as well now, for a part-time position in August. This will work well. Ultimately I only want part-time for this year as I want the flex to go to kindergarten some days with dd4.

I had the interview for the full time child today. It went extrememly well. THey are returning tomorrow evening for a follow up interview so I can meet her hubby and she mine, plus my older kids. I feel very comfortable with her. she said I made her situation look very hopeful, as she'd gone to see many homes and this was the first one that made her feel welcome. So I'm thinking it's 95% that this is going to happen for us.

The other interview, I'm cancelling. Her last communications with me, made me very uncomfortable, so I don't think I'll have her in my home.
