I'm going to learn to bake more stuff from scratch
So I bought a Kitchenaid Mixer
Yes, I know they are expensive, but I have been saving my gift card to there forever. Plus I had the 20% off coupon. It only cost me 45 dollars in cash.

Do you have a Better Homes and Gardens Cookbook?
I've got an extra copy I could send you to help you with your baking. Its a 1973 issue.

If you watch Kohl's sales, every few months they have a sale with codes that come through mail, 10, 20 or 30 %, you can always find the 30% code thru mycoupons, plus 15% for using your kohl's card. At this time you can find a kitchenAid on their site for usually 50% off. Mine was a 5qt. heavy duty, on sale for 199.99 minus 30% +15% (kohl's lets you use 2 discounts per purchase), which brought it down to about 110.00, and free shipping because it was over 75.00 dollars. I do think that I paid a small fee because it was a heavy item, but still, it was a great deal, and the only way I ever would have owned one. And I do think it will last me a lifetime. I normally wouldn't be in favor of getting a store credit card, by I've had one with Kohl's since they first opened and have never paid an interest charge, when I get the bill I pay it in full. I hope this helps some one who is looking to purchase a mixer, their percent sales happen about 3-4 times a year, so good luck on your purchase.

I love mine too! I received mine used, it's probably 15 years old! And I work the heck out of it! They are strong machines! And heavy! It's a work out just moving it from one place to another! (:

I really like my K/A mixer. My hubby was going down an alley one day and it was out back by the trash. He brought it home, I cleaned it up and it works fine. I had a friend that worked at Whirlpool at the time and they were having a special sale for their employees. I could buy almost any accessory I needed for $7 a piece. I got a bowl, a paddle and wire whis for it and have not regretted it since.
