    Default Finally some coupon+deal success!

I usually suck at using coupons because most are for things I don't buy, but today I did so well in combining them with store and manufacturer's offers I just have to share! Weis was having a 4/$5 deal on certain granola bars (which are my staple on-the-go snack food) and a "buy 4 boxes of General Mills cereals get $4 back at the register" deal.

Nature Valley's crunchy all natural bars were part of the deal so I grabbed 4 of those. For cereal I surveyed my options in terms of nutrition and price and Honey Nut Cheerios is sans high fructose corn syrup, low on sugar, has whole grains, and the box was a decent size. So I grabbed 4 of those. The club price was down $3 something/box to $2.52/box. Also, there were $.75 off 2 boxes of GM cereal coupons in the aisle so I grabbed two. I had also printed two coupons for $.80 off 2 boxes of NV granola bars before I left.

    Soo....

The original total would have been $24.56, and I paid $6.38!!

And it really IS a great deal because I buy crunchy granola bars to keep with me during the day anyway, AND I love cereal for a healthy snack or light breakfast but won't pay more than $1/box for it.

Anyway, that was long, but I'm just so excited! I'm just barely getting the hang of these kinds of savings.

Oh and by "4 granola bars" I meant 4 boxes of granola bars (6 in each box).

ok, I can't do math this early in the morning. I spend about $2/week, not $1/week as I posted, I think, for GG, which around her is the price of a Sunday paper. But if I get 3 referrals, I get 10 weeks free.
