    Default Check your receipts!

This week alone I noticed 2 different errors from 2 different stores on my receipts:
    1. Save a Lot- Charged $2.29 at the register for frozen ravioli and the sign in the freezer is $1.99.

    2. Sam's Club- Charged $26.32 instead of $20.98 for marked down meat.

I've had this happen before but we don't always catch the mistakes.

Now it's more work, time, and energy to get this fixed all because someone didn't do their job.

    Check Eveything.

This happens more often than not. And it's up to us to watch when things are being rung up. Wal Mart used to have a policy where if the item rang up wrong you either got the item for free or $3 off your item. Every week I would walk out with something free or with money taken off my order. I haven't seen the signs posted lately so I am assuming they don't it anymore or they are just 'hiding' the fact that they do.

Good thing you caught them but too bad you have to do the running around.

I shop at Wegmans and they are pretty good about ringing up their items at the right price. I had a problem recently where the produce rang up for more than the sticker price.

I always do this! I have gotten so many free things at Super Fresh because they are bad about it and the guarentee is supposed to be first on free and the others of the same item, half off.

EVERYTIME I go to a certain store I get double charged for at least one item. Now, I watch as they ring it all up. I know exactly what my bill should be after coupons. The first time they charged for an extra 12 pack of teas, when I took the receipt back, they gave me credit for the teas and double charged me for the onions...

I always check my receipts...but, I do it at the car. If I find a mistake I go back in and go to customer service...not only do they refund their error, you get 10x the error up to a max. of $5.00.

Oh the nightmare I had at one of the local grocery stores this week. I thought DH was gonna lose it. We were there an extra 15 minutes while they tried to figure it out. Uggghhhh....

Oh, they still do this. We just got back from there and was charged 5.97 for a small bottle of sunscreen that said 3.97, so tomarrow I'll have to drag my hiney back to the store.

I found two mistakes this past week while shopping. I had TWO $8.49 coupons for a new frozen dinner and the cashier took both coupons but only credited me for one. I asked her about the second one and she said the coupon was only for one, why take the second coupon if that's the case? She corrected it and added the second coupon credit, said nothing, just looked grouchy about it.

Then I grabbed pasta that wasn't on sale (right above the sale pasta, thought it was on sale) and it was so much more expensive, I checked the receipt and took it back. Luckily I was right there, hadn't even left the store.

Would have been a pricey week if I hadn't caught this stuff.

Glad to hear that Wal Mart still has this policy.....and here's the kicker of the whole thing. YOU have to ask for this. I'ts not automatic...you would think each cashier would be trained in such a policy but they aren't...at least not here...lol...you have to get a CSM over or go to the service desk where they try to give this line of crap that the policy only applies when you're still in line..LOLOLOL..yeah sure whatever...get the manager.

True... even when I think I'm being so vigilant I often find errors once I have to time to review it at home. Publix supermarket will reimburse the full price of the item and if there are two or more of the same items rung up incorrectly they will reimburse the full price of one item and the difference on the others. This recently happened to me when the Scott's TP rang up $6.99 instead of the sale price of $5.99. I now save the sale flyer too just in case I see an error way after the date of sale.
