I'm feeling really good today!!

Well since yesterday

We got dh Visa Bill yesterday. He added NO charges, not one! The only transaction was the final payment of $2, and it is overpaid by .26!

Then we've been talking that dh needs another car, a fuel efficient because spending $300 a month more than a smaller car, just back and forth to work, has eaten up his raise from March and then some. He found one yesterday

For a whopping $600, it's a 2001. Yes, it's in distress, but it's electrical, it's mechanically sound... Yes electrical can be very pricey to fix. BUT... dh is the mechanic..lol. We already know what is wrong. A command start was installed, and they connected it wrong. So dh will take that out, patch up what issues the guy tried to 'fix', and within the week he'll be driving it, and I'll be selling the minivan

I like having the 2nd minivan, however, it's costing us big time. Then I'll also have a little car to drive for errands which will cut down drastically what I spend on gas..

And OH YEAH! It's being paid CASH, no line of credit being used!!

I can relate a little bit. DH is not a mechanic, but is a car fanatic and owned a lot of older cars when he was younger. He learned how to do a lot of the repair work himself and has used this knowledge on our current cars. It sure does save a lot of dough when he can do costly repairs himself.
