Wow, Just Wow!

Talk about being in the right place at the right time--TWICE this week!

First, my local CVS. Here is a link describing that trip:

Then today I stop by my local Stop & Shop grocery store. They are closing tonight to open a Super Stop & Shop 1/2 mile away. Well, I walk in in the middle of the hour they are having a "fill a bag for $5 sale". Now the original sale included produce, meats, seafood, deli and perishable store brand items. I got there with 15 minutes left of the sale, so obviously all the meat and deli and stuff like that were long gone.

BUT, I got 3 bags filled with every kind of cheese imaginable- (16 blocks of various kinds each 16 to 24 oz, 2 8oz pkgs sliced swiss, 3 1lb blocks Mozzarella, 9 1lb bags various shredded, and 17 1lb sliced american singles).

And another bag that contained the following:

2 1lb Hard Salami sticks
4 1/2 lb sticks Summer Sausage
2 8oz bags pepperoni
1 bag salad mix
1 lb organic carrots
1 4pk candle gift set
1 glade plug in refill
2 bags flavored croutons
4 apples
2 bags snack sausages
8 Onion rolls

I also got a gallon of milk and a loaf of bread. Grand total: $26.79

(Think I have enough cheese to last us about 2 years!!!! LOL At least I can freeze it!)

Thought DH was gonna kill me, but what does he do? Giggle and pick up the cell phone to tell his mom all about it! LOL

Wow...Excellent deal you got..

I'm jealous... The only good deal I got which was totally unexpected was that Price Chopper must be discontinuing the 150oz Tide w/febreeze scent for $7.49 a bottle..I bought 5 bottles that will last me a couple of years as I only use about 2 tablespoons to each load and we are a family of 6...I know that I could save alot more by making my own or going for a cheaper brand..but I only use Tide period!
