    That was fantastic!
Now... if I can get my husband to agree to give up his blessed lawn.. I consider myself VERY thankful to have a 20 x 4 space to garden. Time to kick HIM to the curb.

Is there any man looking for a self-sufficient frugal nurse?

Wow that is amazing! It just shows that anything is possible if
we set our minds to it. I would like to know how much I can
grow around my house, it's a rental so I don't want to spend a ton of money.

Thanks for the inspiration. DH and I used to do square foot gardening, like they do. We raised an incredible volume of food in a small area about the size of a single car garage. And we lived much further north...outside Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Unfortunately we have too many trees on the property we live on now. We've been talking about taking them down. But it would be very expensive. We live in a community that values trees. To remove these mature trees would be over $1000 each, and we have seven on the property. Three would have to stay...too big and dangerous to take them down. But the others....

We've been talking about redoing the backyard into paving and raised beds. Frankly we have a weed that is in everything, and short of nuking it, I don't see how we can get rid of it.

Very inspiring indeed. Now to convince DH we need to start growing our own food, I would love it.
