Default What coupons do you clip?

Okay what's your coupon strategy. Do clip all the coupons in your Sunday paper? or do you clip coupons only for products you use?

For example, Ii use vinegar to clean with so I never clip coupons for household cleaners. But thinking that maybe I should in case I can get a cleaning product close to free.

Do you use a coupon only in conjunction with a sale? Or do you use the coupon if you regularly use the product regardless of whether or not it's on sale?

Also i've been noticing that really $1 aren't really worth the trouble. 1.) usually $1 coupons are for high priced items where there's usually a cheaper alternative. 2.) Now that some stores double coupon but only up to .99 cents so they are worth more than $1 coupons.

    I clip all of them.......
with the excpetion of things like FixOdent and feminine products - I don't need either of those things.

But really, I don't even really have things that I "normally" buy anymore. I "normally" buy whatever I can get free or nearly free with a coupon/deal stack.
Yogurt~I only "normally" buy it if I can get a great deal on it, if I can't, we don;t have it. Period. End of story.
It's that way with alot of things: cold cereal, tortillas, jams/jellies, lunch meat, applesauce, pickles, ice creams, packaged baking items, etc......
If I didn't clip all those coupons, I wouldn;t be ready for a great deal!!

I buy 2 papers when there are coupons:

    *I clip them all
*Keep what I think I will use
*Send the rest to a my friend on this board
*Send all of the expired ones to another friend on this board to be forwarded on to military families overseas

I have been doing pretty well using coupons and flyers and looking for sales this last few months : )

    Have a great day,

That pretty much sums up my strategy. I have a small accordian file box that I keep my cut up flyers, so I can trade for those I won't use. Or sometimes, I think I won't need it, but then a deal comes along and I will use it.

I do the same thing . I clip the coupons I need and keep them in a coupon organizer that I take to the store with me. Then I save the inserts incase items are on sale that I know I have a coupon for where I keep my flyers. I only use coupons for things we buy or if I see an item is cheaper with a coupon than buying the generic brand. I just stocked up on shave gel and deodorant, the coupons I had made the name brand products cheaper than the price for the generic and it helped that one of my stores had sales on these items last week. I saved about $40 using coupons last month. We did stock up on items that we won't need again for awhile though: shave gel, deodorant, razors, soap, some medicines. This week we only used 2 coupons, because we bought mostly generic and my fiance was bummed that we only saved $2, because last week we saved $16 with our coupons. I had to remind him that we also spent $10 less on our total grocery bill this week compared with last week, because we didn't buy as many things .

Generally I only clip coupons or print them for products I use regularly...but, if a coupon is bogo for a product I haven't used yet, then I will clip it, match it to a sale & try the product.

The only things I will buy when they are not on sale is milk or bread...anything else has to be on sale or we can do with out until it is.

Whatever coupons I think I may use. Mostly personal care products. I make most of my food from scratch. Also buy store brand products.

some times I buy a paper. I have a friend that save his coupons for me. when I go to that town i pick them up.
some times I cut them all out and sometimes just what I need.
I stick mine in an envelope.

I tried doing coupons, but I live in a rural area with only 2 locally owned grocery stores, so it is cheaper to buy store brand and cook from scratch.

I clip only what I used and what goes with deals at CVS, their extra care bucks program is amazing. I haven't paid for any HBA products, milk, soda since I started last November. And coupons add to my savings.

I clip any coupons for any items we use and any items that we would use if I founds a good sale or the product on clearance (target puts a lot of their household stuff on target and i combine with a coupon to get mucha savings!!) I usually clip the extra and send on the coupon train. There were a few things at Rite Aid this week that we don't normally buy but had awesome sale and rebate and there were coupons this week. Like we usually don't use pantene and rite aid had a new pantene for 3.49, I had a coupon for 1.50 (this week's paper) and $1.50 rebate. so I got for free!! yeah..

I used to clip only the coupons for things that I bought, but there have been so many times I've been at a store and seen an item on sale and knew there was just a coupon for it in the paper that would have made it really cheap or free and I did not have that coupon, so now I clip all coupons.

I used to clip all the coupons and put them in my coupon binder, but my strategy has changed over the past few months. I have stopped by cleaners and use vinegar and baking soda and I'm cooking more things instead of buying convenience foods. It seems like the coupons aren't really what I'm needing these days. I do still clip coupons, but I pick and choose what I clip.
