Fresh Veggie Price Spikes
WOWSA ... today at aldies i almost keeled over 2 green bell peppers for $2.49 .. so when we went to foodlion i looked there $2.99 per pound .. which came out to about 2 peppers.
Sometimes these prices go up way way to fast.
Used to be i could get 3 peppers for $1.49 at aldies.

Peppers go up and down like that all the time. I remember shopping at Walmart and they wanted like almost 5 bucks for 3 different peppers!
I just buy them frozen for stir frys.. Way cheaper..then either get the sales or wait until happy garden time here with the family.

The store prices seemed to be going up so fast that we decided to check out some of the local farmers markets. We are lucky that on any day of the week, one of the towns near us (all within 15 mins) have a farmers market going. Their prices beat the store almost every time. DS was over the moon that he bought 3 mangos for about $2.
