Default This is what our new home will look like

Here is a blog from some of our online friends that are building a log home very very similiar to what we're building (we'll have more windows in the front). I'm still in awe at people building these beautiful houses for less than $100,000

Keeping our fingers crossed that ours comes in under 100K, too!

Also, these people just started construction last fall - can you believe that?!? (and they're doing the whole thing themselves, just like we will)

Just Wow! I am envious of them (and you). One of these days, I'd love to do the same. Log homes are beautiful....

I hope yours comes in at the right price.

I really like log cabins. That one looks nice. I think I would want more windows, too. I hope you get the price you want!

How very cool! We've talked about building several times. Unfortunately/forunately (depending on how I feel about my neighbors at the time) we are now attached to our constant construction remodel. I can't walk in any room without seeing what "we've done to it". I am sure you will find the same wonders once you finish your cabin (if you don't already have them where your at). Hope the price works in your favor.

I have always wanted one. I would go smaller though. Of course I am thinking retirement home. Less to clean.

I love log homes. When we built our cabin up in Packwood, I really wanted one. It didn't work out for us, though. Lucky you!!! Keep us informed of your progress.

Wow Jessica, I'm a little envious. What a beautiful home! How long are you guys giving yourselves to complete this project? Will you and your Dh be working on this full time or is your DH going to work(by the airline) as well?
Wishing you all the best and hoping you can come in under your goal!!

I think log homes are beautiful! Building and remodeling always seem to eat money even when done by yourself. Hopefully you will come in on budget though.
