    Question WWYD--Walgreens/Coupon?

Okay I am plotting out my strategy at Walgreens.

So far this is what I am seeing that we will use:

Crest Healthy Radiance Whitening Kit sale price: 7.99 - $3 Easy Saver Coupon - $3 manufacture coupon = 1.99

    Snuggle 40 pack dryer sheets sale pricce: 1.99- $1 coupons= .99 (QUANTITY 2: 1.98)

Glade Air Freshner Spray sale price: 1.50-1$ coupon=.50 cents

Now here is my conundrum. (Did I spell that right?) Anyways, Oral B Cross Action toothbrushes are on sale for 5.50, but you get 5.50 in register rewards, which make your next purchase free. Now...I have 8 coupons for these toothbrushes that are buy one get one free. So in theory, I can get 16 toothbrushes for 44$. Now I know that sounds like a lot....but I would get 44$ in register rewards which would make my next purchases free. I figure with that 44$ in free merchandise coupon I could beef up my stockpile a bit. For some reason, I am having a hard time wrapping my mind around whether this is a good deal or not. What would you guys do?

I'm debating the same thing! I only have 2 coupons, but think it might be worth it.

If you have the $44 to spare out of pocket, I'd do it. If you only have $22 - I'd probably do that, too. Also, depending on how fast you go through toothbrushes - I'd probably end up donating a bunch of them. Once a year when my HBA stash gets too big I donate a bunch of thing to a local church that distributes food and stuff for WIC, and they are always happy to distribute HBA's too.

Yup, we've got the money to do so...just wanted to make sure it was as good of a deal as I thought it was. I am thinking the 44$ in register rewards will be used to purchase milk to stockpile in the freezer. Can never have to much milk...especially since prices are going to go up.

    Thanks Telephus.

Make sure you read the RR carefully. Some people on another board said that there new RR said not good on dairy.

I don't think you can use the RR on dairy or any other P&G products.
I went and got a toothbrush and used the B1G1 coupon that says refills. Then I used the RR to buy the other things I wanted like Cottonelle wipes 2/4.00.. they are ususally 3.49 here and I also had a 2.oo off coupon.
The coffeemate is also a good price at 2/3.00. For me it is usually 2.19 for that size.
    Happy shopping

Read the rr tape and if it lets you, go for it. Good luck. I love getting free things.

If you can handle the $44 I would go for it! Those rewards come in handy for other things...

Does you Walgreen's give you grief about manufacturer's coupons with the rr program. I went to buy 2 bags of Bertoli pasta & 3 jars of Ragu = $17. You had to spend $15 to get $5 rr. I did, but then I gave them $4 in man. coupons & the register wouldn't give me the $5. The "know-it-all young manager" (gosh, I sound well beyond my 32 years here!) tried to argue with me as there was a line a mile long behind me. I simply asked if there was an 800 # to call and they remedied it within 24 hours. Geesh, I never thought it would be such a problem....

Sounds like a pretty good buy, as long as you get to use the rewards for a number of different items!! Way to check the market!!
