Can you reuse reclosable veggie stock boxes?
You know those boxes that you get on the shelf that have vegetable, chicken, or beef stock and broth. If you rinse them out well then are they reusable or is there any specific reason I shouldn't reuse them?
Thanks so much in advance, I figured I'd use them for my own stock I make at home

I'd say you could probably try saving non-digestable liquids in them, but I'm not sure. It'd be difficult to sterilize them properly. They'd probably be great for filling up with water, taping the lid closed and storing in the freezer to keep the freezer full and running efficiently. Or fill it up and stick it in the toilet tank, etc.

Do you mean cleaning them out and refilling with your homemade and the freezing them? You would have to freeze them definately. I have not used these kinds of boxed broth so I'm not real sure but I can't think as long as you were going to store them in the freezer that it wouldn't be ok.

Thanks to both of you! I'm not 100% sure yet what I'm going to actually end up doing with them...but for now I'll keep them cleaned out and in my "stash box" because I'm sure I'll make up my mind within the next few days. I just didn't want them to go to waste, they look so handy!
