I am sorry that your yard sale did not go well. Can you try to have it again next weekend and advertise in the paper?

I would never have a sale without advertising it in the paper first. I've heard other people say they have success just putting up signs but that wouldn't work where I live. Pony up for the ad (about $7 here) and good luck!

WOW!!! That's hard to believe. Don't you live near Traverse City? I figured this time of year you would be flooded with people! Sorry to hear this.

Now that is hard to imagine but I would only suggest you have another one this weekend and maybe post it in your local paper and your local craigslist, I mean hearing that no one showed up is a big surprise

Wow, that really stinks. I know how much work goes into them. I agree with the others--advertise in your local paper and Craigslist, and I bet you'll get many customers

The typos were bad in my post sorry.

Not one person showed up. There was plenty of traffic by the main road, have no idea what failed.

Maybe I need bigger signs. Maybe people thought it was signs for a graduation party since I used balloons or something and just passed it.

That happened to us! It was horrible. The next week, our neighbors placed an ad in the paper and said we could set up and get the traffic from their sale. I guess signs just don't work in our neighborhood!

That has happened to me twice!

Might as well try again with the paper and CL. Maybe try doing it on Thursday and Friday too?

I was wondering if others thought the balloons meant party (birthday or other type) & didn't read the signs. Hope you sell out within the hour with the next one you have!

I would suggest advertising in your local paper and Craigslist too! I am sorry that your garage sale didn't go as planned. I hope the next one is a big hit.

Do you live in a rural area where there is no traffic?
