Great *FREE* site for (legal) music...

I just shared this site with a friend and she was mad at me for not sharing it before. So I thought I would share it here with you guys as well.

I love music and I love having a variety of music that I like at my fingertips. However, I hate buying downloads, because then I listen to them once or twice and get tired of them and they sit on computer. This is a great free radio site that you can customize to your liking. Put in your favorite band, and it will tailor your music to that band and others like it. It really rocks, because I don't have to add tons of music to bog down my 'puter and it's FREE! You do have to register after the first hour, but I've never recieved any SPAM from them as far as I can tell!

I also listen to Finetune, which sort of works like Pandora. Finetune lets you pick songs and puts them into a "mixed tape" sort of thing.

anyone else havign the problem with pandora slowing down the computer a lot? Sometimes I don't have any issues, other times it make my computer crawl.

I know my computer is getting old (5 years) but I don't ever have slow downs with any other high audio or video sites, just with pandora.

just some advice from my computer dude - make sure you uninstall when no using it. it can allow infections, etc in your hard drive

Denvergirlie... yes Pandora has a known issue called a "memory leak" which can make your computer slow down after an hour or two. If it happens, close Pandora and restart the service.

Also you can try a website called last.fm it's great and also provides free downloads occasionally. It tracks the music you listen to on your computer, also you can type your favourite artist into the search engine, and it comes up with a bio of that artist, and other artists that you could be interested in with the same "style" of music.
