    Angry Gasoline! Holy Crap!!

I just paid $40.00 for 9 gallons!!!! AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

Evidently the words "fixed income" mean nothing to big oil companies!

    Just had to vent... GRRRRRRR

I know as FVer's we'll pull through... Can they just stop raising prices so we can catch our breath?

WHAT ARE WE TO DO...WHAT ARE WE TO DO....WHAT ARE WE TO DO....I am chanting this to the tune of chicken little's "the sky is falling, the sky is falling, the sky is falling.
To operate my car I have to have gas. We have no control over the price of gas. I think we FVers will be fine but everyone else is going to sink further and further into debt.
I am not sure what to say. I am just budgeting tighter and praying that the price of gas goes down sooner not later.

    Unhappy Holy crap I agree!

Just filled up our station wagon today i had a quarter of a tank and it still cost me $98.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are now paying close to $7 a gallon we buy by the litre and there are 4 litres to the gallon and we pay approx $1.65 per litre of unleaded. It is very depressing because with the rising cost of gas you know everything else necessary for life will go up like food and heating costs yet most people salaries will not go up to catch up. I don't like this one bit. I've always scrimped and saved. I've always stockpiled, worn yard sale clothes and always been frugal and it's not going to be good enough. We even have a paid for home. What about the people who are already in debt up to their eyeballs? How are they going to make it during these hard times? What about the people who don't know the first thing about frugality?

Let's hope they find their way here!

(getting on soapbox) now is the time for people/individuals/governments to develop alternative sources of energy. ahem. (getting off soapbox)

    11% gross to retirement
10% takehome to tithe and offerings
emergency fund maintained at 3000(works for me)
    credit card debt 7500
    mortgage free
freedom accounts/sinking funds that ebb and flow
    then live on the rest!

i am trying something new. LDS church advises savings or debt repayment should be the same as the tithe. 10% each.

Well folks it's $4.55 for regular unleaded here and I expect it to get to $5.00 by the 4th of July.

I am doing all the stuff I have learned here plus some things I already knew and that is helping some. Mostly for me I find that if I stay home that is very helpful.

    Good Luck to All,

I don't have a vehicle anymore and with the price of gas, I wouldn't even think of buying one now anyways 'cuz I wouldn't be afford to drive it.

Gas across the street from me is $3.99 a gallon ... the station the other end of town is $4.14 a gallon.

Wow, just as I hit submit ... it come on the news [CNN] that gas is over $140.00 a barrel [think it was $142.00] and they said by the end of summer that it could hit $170.00 a barrel.

    This is totally unreal!!
