Cool Just saved $30 on haircuts!

~Today I cut my hubby's hair(which I always do and save $15 a pop!) and decided to *try* to trim mine. I've trimmed and layered my hair before when it was past my shoulders but I have a 1 month old pixie cut. Since I'm growing it out to a bob, all that needed doing was trimming at the nape of my neck. It was tricky doing it in reverse in the mirror but I think it turned out well! I even tapered the nape more than the stylish originally did, which I think looks better with the layers growing out. I'm really glad I tried because I saved alot for just 4 minutes of work!~

good going! Isn't it amazing what we can do if you just give it a try, I've been cutting DH's hair for 30 years, and my girls who are 22 and 25 have only gone to a beauty salon a couple times each in their lives! So you know we've saved a bundle over the years. Love to hear how people save money! Good JOB!

Good for you! I've always wanted to be able to do that. I do cut my bangs in between haircuts, and cut two of my kids' hair. I've botched hubby's before, so doubt he'll let me do his again!

I've just recently started doing this too! And I'm letting the color grow out, going grey. I added up what I once spent a year for color and cuts and WOW.

I've always done DH and the DSs hair, but now I'll save even more! My younger DS22 is one state away at school and he will let his grow (he wears it longish anyway) till he can get home and have me cut it. I think he was about 10, the last time he went to a haircutter's.

DS24 is 2000 miles away, and he has learned to cut his with a clippers of his own. He keeps his short.

~I'm pretty impressed by people who cut their own bangs. My sis does that too. I figure if I try the back it's not so obvious if I mess up.~

Woo hoo! I just trimmed my hair today too! Mine's tricky with lots of layers so I keep checking it in the mirror haha.

Most inexpensive haircut I ever had was at the Supercuts chain of salons.

I have long straight hair so I only do this once or twice a year!
