Default 10 Reasons To Love A Recession (Article)

    http://finance.yahoo.com/banking-bud...ve-a-Recession

Found this article interesting. Love the Family Dinners. We would be lost without our family sit down time. And the new perspectives part is neat too. Yes, less bang for the buck does force us to rethink things we took for granted. And that's a good thing right?

Nice to see a different take on the recession! Yup, family dinners sounds like a good thing to me!

I do recall always having a new "used" car. In fact, still do! I think that why DH and I are such a good team, we remember the last "recession" and still live frugally.

maybe that is why I do not feel stressed been there done that.. We were talking about just that Why do people need such big houses now starter homes now are the size the rich folk used to live in...

When I was a teen gas was 50 cents a gallon but we made under $3 an hour minimum wage...

many of the things I am doing now like canning I did in the 70's and quit when the kids came along in the 80's

    We are wasteful people.

I'm still waiting for the "more coupons" part. It seems to me that the coupons have been lousy lately.

However, I like the slower lifestyle that it will "force" us to take on. Family dinners, more walking (meeting your neighbors), gardening, some may call it a recession, but me? I call it "the good life!"

I like the part about buying an SUV now because the prices have fallen because no one can afford to put gas in them LOL. It is sooo true, my sister just bought a small car to save gas. She ended up just keeping her SUV because she could not get much for it as a trade. It's in great shape too. It's sitting in her driveway and they use once in a while.
