    Default Guess What?!?!?!?!

    I just made our last mortgage payment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited, now that money will go a little bit to savings and the rest tothe debt snowball. YAY!!!!!

    In the old days people would have a party inviting family, neighbors and friends and in front of all burn the bank mortgage.
    People would be happy for you, and it would encourage them to continue on their path to paying off their mortgage.

    Of course these days if you tried to have such a party, I'm not sure how people would react. That you were bragging beyond belief, rubbing it in their faces, jealous, total disbelief, must have had an inheritance? Not sure.
    But it seems like the goal of paying off the mortgage has been lost on the current generation.

    So you'll just have to have your party here! I hope to have my own in a few years.
