Default Man, i Love DH's Job!!!

My DH works as a diesel mechanic for Crete Carriers, which is contracted to the Wal-Mart Distribution Center that handles food for Wally-World. Anywho, whenever a case of food even hits the floor, is within a week of expiration, is rejected by a store for whatever reason, or in today's case, a refrigerated truck has something wrong with it but is still cold, the employees (usually out of the truck shop) gets to help themselves. In the past we have ended up with cases of chips, cases of yogurt, steaks, bread dough, waffles, cut flowers, cases of lettuce, and today: cases of the pre-cut fresh fruit-the giant trays AND smaller containers of it, and containers of the pre-cut celery and carrots!!! In the fridge I now have about 12 large fruit trays, 6 of the smaller containers, and 4 containersof veggies!!! Too bad this couldn't have happened right before the 4th though LOL

That's great! I would freeze some of the fruit for use in smoothies, pies, etc! Sometimes I like to just eat frozen fruit straight from the freezer!

i know someone who 'accidently' on purpose dropped a pallet of hardwood laminated flooring on the floor and damaged the pallet and got to take them all home - he had only just bought the house so it was fr the new floor he wanted.
