    Default SOOOOO much fun!!!

To celebrate that Fiori got a really good grade in her final IB exam we went to the movies yesterday evening.
It was ladies' night at one of our cinemas. I have never been there for ladies' night and even though it was quite expensive (12.50 euros pp - I think around $16 pp) I think it was a fun thing to do.

This was a new release here - the movie 'Mamma Mia'.
It will be on general release next Thursday.
When you arrive all the ladies can have their nails done, have a glass of champagne and have a look at various stands there with jewelery, make up etc.
Whern we went into the theater, there was a bottle of water and a bag of popcorn on the seat.
It was ladies only and even though 2 guys decided that they would try their luck, they were quickly removed by the management.
Unfortunately I was seated next to a few young 'ladies' who found it necessary to constantly send text messages via their phones and then discuss the contents of said messages.

After the show all the audience get a goodie bag filled with samples of make-up, magazines, chocolates and coupons - very nice!
The movie is GREAT!!!!!! We LOVED it.

Personally I was lucky enough to see the musical version of Mamma Mia in London and was a bit wary if the movie would be so good.
YES!!! it is great and well worth going to see it if you are/were a fan of Abba's music/songs.

I have just discovered that I have put this thread in the wrong forum. Sorry!!!!

Is that the one with Pierce Brosnan and Merle Streepe as the leads? I saw a scene from it this morning on the Today Show. It looked fun. It sounds like you had a great time out.

$16 doesn't sound too bad for all the pampering and goodies! I'm glad you had fun.

I am glad you enjoyed your evening out. It sounded fun!!

I was wondering if this movie was any good? I also saw them talking about it on the Today Show.

I thought that I would just add the following.
The movie IS GREAT - BUT - you HAVE to really like ABBA music.
I went there with Fiori and 2 of her friends and everyone LOVED the movie.
The only thing that we ALL found a bit weird was watching Pierce Brosnan singing. KWIM?
But he did it very well.
If you want a very relaxing evening out and maybe even a sing along (try not singing along - it's almost impossible) I can recommend it highly.
BTW the movie is also VERY funny.
If anyone else goes to see the movie, I would be curious to hear what you think.
