Default Have List - ready to go shopping tomorrow

I have my list for tomorrow's shopping trip.

I have it sorted in food and non-food. The non-food things will not all be purchased because we don't have much cash.

Hopefully I won't be too tempted to buy sodas - we do have some on the list but not much. We're going to try to buy more kool aid and tea instead of Pepsi and Coke (and Mt Dew and Dr Pepper).

I don't want to spend more than maybe $250 for Dh and I for groceries this month. So far we've spent a little more than $30. I do have another $150 or so for stockpiling. DD gets back from her dad's on August 5, so we have until then for just us - that will save some $. I usually spend about $400 with all 3 of us and the 2 dogs and cat (and fish).

Wish me luck - and maybe some good deal/stockpile vibes.

Good Luck! You can do it! I am aiming for $300 for the month and there are 3 of us,dog and cat. And my son is 16 so he eats nonstop!! I wish we got coupons like you do in the US. Hope you find some great deals and get some good stockpile items too. Im just starting mine and its actually kinda fun looking for the deals! Hubby is even looking now and asking me if its a good price or not(YAY!!).

I wish you luck with your trip! I have 192 dollars to spend on the next two week's worth of groceries to include the stockpile for winter already. I'm hoping that I can get my usuals at a lower price and this time, hopefully I won't need to buy 12kg of sugar or 1kg of garlic powder (omg so expensive).

We're sticking to buying our pop in 2 12-pack boxes instead of a 24-pack because I found we drink alot more pop when we have it in a 24-pack. We don't buy any more fruit juice because we found out it was bad for the kids' teeth, so it's mainly milk and water for them. I'll have about 50 dollars more the next time I do my shopping but for now, we get to see how far I can stretch 192 dollars with both kids at home.

Good Luck!! Trying to keep my budget under $400 this month. I have been stockpiling all last month so it should be ok. Just had that darned holiday paycheck for the 4th of July so that puts a damper on things, not as much overtime this week.

I have $40 to use for groceries this week. I do have things in the house already. I need to go through and make a list as well. And then revise the list. A lot of things that get put on my lists are really wants, not needs.

Of course, with the cost of just milk, a loaf of bread, and a pound of sandwhich meat costing $12.00 at the store, I am not sure I can really get much with my $40.00....... but we do have a breadstore here that I am going to check out (from what I understand it is MUCH cheaper) and I am going to go to the Save-A-Lot for the first time ever. As silly as it sounds, I am nervous about it. But oh well. I need to just get over it. Food is food, no matter where you buy it, and there is no need to spend more than is necessary!

Good luck with your trip... and good luck with the soda buying! That is one of my weaknesses.... I am addicted to Coca Cola. I need to work on that as well.

It is hard to stick to a budget but the list always helps. Good luck.

Your list should help! I couldn't stick to my grocery budget without one! You'd be surprised at how little you can buy when you really stick to your guns!

    Good luck!
