Default $20 under budget for groceries YEAH!!!!!!!

So since my hubby doesn't get as excited as I do saving money, I thought I would post it here instead! I budgeted $100 for groceries this week, came in at $79, that is including beer for DH and birthday present for DS.

Great job. I am hoping to be ON budget this month. We have spent most of our allotment already - there is like $19 left and we still have 2 weeks in the month. We do have enough food - I think.

We did stock up on some steaks - $1.97 per pound for london broil. We bought 3 package that had at least 3 steaks in them each. I think we will be able to make 5 steak meals (after DD gets home) or 7 meals (if she isn't here). Whole pork loin is also on sale for $1.99 per pound (boneless) and I was thinking of buying one for stocking up also. We did buy one to use over the next couple of weeks. If I can stock up on meats I think our future grocery budgets can be lower.
