School supplies!!

I've spent the day going through all the drawers and closets pulling out clothes that are too small etc. Trying to compile a list of what is needed.
I just received the kids school supply lists in the mail. I about had a heart attack!!!! I need a loan to get all the stuff!
We're reusing backpacks, lunchboxes and all supplies that came home last year. Even so, I have a huge list.
Funny thing though about dd13's backpack and lunchbox. I bought them when she was going into 3rd grade, now she's going into 8th. Back then, I was a spendthrift with money to blow. I bought really nice Roxy brand (very expensive,sturdy) stuff, I guess we're getting our money out of them. They still look very nice.
Anyway, I'm just trying to see how much I can stretch my pennies this year.

i got my list for two dd's still in school and i am finding that the older the girls get, the less that they need.
but still, it's going to cost a fair penny. not like last year. but still!

I have been buying supplies as I find them on clearance, and still have some from last year. I always buy enough at the beginning of the school year, when everything is on sale, to last through the year. It seems like the list gets longer every year.

We still don't have a list yet. They have the "generic" grade lists, but we won't know who his teacher is for another couple of weeks yet. And every year so far, the teacher has changed the "generic" list. So, this year, I am waiting for the packet to come in the mail so we know exactly what to buy!

However, most of our stuff will be reused from last year!
