    Default Update on Dd's Craft Sale

    Well, color her disappointed.

    We live at the top of a mountain and the only traffic are the people who live up here. No one stopped at her little table.

    Grandpa, Grandma, and Aunt Christina stopped by and all bought a few things, but I think she had visions in her head of a bustling, busy little craft sale. She cried and was so sad.

    We counted her money and she made $5.00. She paid $1.00 to her cousin who came over to help (she wanted to give her half, but I talked her out of it), and has $4.00 left over.

    She asked if maybe I could list some of her cards at the Frugal Village (how cute is that) and I told her if she took pictures, she could post herself in the For Sale/Trade Forum, as she is a member. (She joined for the arcade.) I did remind her, however, that it is the FRUGAL village and people here are trying to spend less, not buy more.

    Anyway, we're encouraging her not to give up and we reminded her of the year we had a garage sale and not one person came. I also reminded her she now has $4.00 more than she had before, and so we did some math and she figured out that she only needs $16.00 more dollars to buy her knitting machine. So, she's already planning her next venture.

    I'm glad she's not giving up! Disappointment is tough stuff, nice to learn to roll with the punches. When she does have enough for her machine it's going to be sweet indeed.

    Awww, that would have broken my heart

    Definitely a great idea for her to post on FV though...I can think of a particular person in MA who is very interested in seeing what she has to offer
