    Default JCPenny + Little Kids

I just went to the mall (Motherhood Maternity, needed some things) and I always park at the JCPenny because it's easier for me to find my car.. well, of course, being a mom, I had to take a peek at the little clothes - $1.97 racks like crazy!! I just bought 5 outfits for the current bun in the oven and something for my 18 month old.. I spent $12 on over $100 in new clothes! I'm not a thrift shopper so to me - huge deal!! Gonna go back within the next day or two to buy my oldest some summer clothes for next year - just keep 'em all in totes anyways.. I may have three kids but I am only shopping for one (unless I find some good deals, then I can't help myself)!!

Just wanted to share my excitement!

Why is it that food prices are shooting up so high, but we can still find awesome clearance? I just got a $58 patio table at Wal-Mart for $12 and 4=packs of marigolds for $.19 each!

I know it.. I can buy five outfits that get used hundreds of times (thanks to having ALL girls) for the same price as milk (almost, eventually it will cost $10)!

Hubby goes to the mall here quite frequently, called my friend Brenda this am and told her the kids clothing sales signs for 75% off were going up yesterday am.

She went and got almost ALL of Maiyli's clothing for school (fall into winter) just need a couple more jeans and long sleeved shirts for $56 + and she saved.......are your ready???

$362+ dollars!!!! off the ticketed prices!

She got a boat load of clothing for her! T-shirts galore, jeans, capris, skirts/shorts. Wow, I couldn't believe what she got. Watch your *good* stores for sales ladies, better than the good will type stores.

for clothing, we like to shop at the base.
a lot of the times, we find things on the clearance rack for 75% off. and then a lot of the time, there is 25% off of the 75% off price.

    example:
levi's in my size are odd. so hardly anyone buys them. i wait until they go on clearance.
regular price is 26.00. when they go on slearance at 75% off, their price is 6.50. then take 25% off of that price (1.63) and you get 4.87.
they do this all the time. plus we don't pay tax at the base, so that helps!
plus, i can get clothes from tommy hilfigger, raulph lauren, liz claibourne, really good name brand stuff.
so what i do, is wait for things to go on clearance, buy, use for a while, then take to a consignment shop. because the clothes are still in good condition, i get premium money (most of the time, more than what i paid for it) and then go buy more clothes!
    works for us!

If I can, I will pick up things for my kids a year ahead from those clearance racks. I did the same thing at JcPenney's that you did. We have a BonTon here that does the same thing. Much cheaper than buying it new right before you need it.

JCPenney, Old Navy, and Sears have the best clearances on kids' clothes that I've ever seen. I often buy up a size for the following year.

The summer stuff is usually on clearance by July 4th--I always remember this because I went on vacation one year, and right before we left for the 4th, they had tons of stuff on clearance. I remember thinking, my kids JUST got out of school a couple of weeks ago--isn't it a bit early to clear out all the summer stuff? Not in the retail world though
