Gotta love clearance & markdowns!
Stopped at Dollar General today to see if I could find over-the-door hooks for hanging clothes (I have no closet in my room). Found 2-packs for $1 each. They're plastic, so I picked up 2, in case one gets broken.
While I was there, I checked their clearance aisle - found a cool toy for DS10 for Christmas - a "hoverball" - basically a battery-operated little hovercraft that looks like a soccer ball. Originally $5, 70% off, so I got it for $1.50 or so. They also had Play-Doh Fun Factory sets for $1.50, down from $5.
Went to the Family Dollar Store on my way to the grocery store, needed to get a sprinkler - they had one for 25% off of the original price of $2.50. (A nice one that you stick in the ground that oscillates back and forth.)
Finally got to the grocery store, spent all of about $30 - some of the good deals I found in the markdowns that this store is great about having every week:
-Bagged lettuce salad mix (carrots, lettuce, cabbage, radishes) for $0.99
-Fresh Brussels Sprouts for $0.99/lb.
-Slightly ripe bananas for $0.80 for 2.5 lbs. Regular price is $0.49/lb. The ones I got aren't even into "banana bread" territory yet.
-Firm Tofu for $0.99/lb.
-Pork Steak for $1.29/lb (not markdown)
-Pork Stir Fry Cubes (marked down to $1.00 for 8 oz.)
I checked the day-old bakery rack -nothing good there. They usually have a FANTASTIC sunflower seed bread that I pick up whenever I can, usually for $0.80 or less per loaf.

Great haul! I shopped Dollarama today for stuff for Operation Christmas Child for our church. It's amazing what you can get for a reasonable price, isn't it?!
