Sales Tax-Free Weekend Began at Midnight
Does your state have it? Clothes, school supplies, electronics, computers, etc. bought between midnight last night and Sunday night are completely tax-free. It really helps those with children especially. Of course, it's crowded at the stores.

I didn't see Maryland on the list so I'm a little bit disappointed. I will just rely on sale, coupons and will do my inventory religiously. Although I bought a land's end shoes at Sears for $8 with coupon and 30% combination. YEY!

Ours started Thursday. I use it for myself. Any time I get break from taxes I take advantage.

We don't have children and I can't think of anything I really need, except I could use some clothes and a scanner.

Yeah, but every town in my area has taken the exemption... argh. We get the state tax holiday but still have to pay city tax. The closest town to me that doesn't take the exemption is too far for the tax savings to justify the gas. Oh, well... at least we get the state tax break.

Maine isn't on the list either. NH doesn't have tax on clothing - taking DD there shopping on the way home from the airport on 8/5.

My state is included, but honestly it isn't worth the headache to me. The stores will be crazy! Plus we will still have to pay local sales tax (most cities & counties have some kind of local tax). Hope everyone finds great deals & won't have to wait in line too long.
May Groceries $238/250 Pet Supplies $111/125
Coupons $50.08
April Groceries $253/250 Pet Supplies $109/125
Coupons $34
Coupon Saving 2012 $165.61
2011 $376.25

Georgia and South Carolina both have it and it is this week-end. The tax you save really adds up. I have two children, so with them both needing shoes and some clothes, I was thankful for the money I saved.
I had read on another board that Florida wasn't doing it this year because their state needed the money.
