Success grocery shopping today!
Today, for the first time since I was living at home as a kid, I clipped coupons. I looked through the circulars. Jeremy and I discussed what we were going to eat for the week based on that. Armed with these coupons, I went to the store. Between my coupons and shopping the sales. There were a few sales I hadn't seen that I was able to take advantage of while I was there. All told, we spent $102.29, saved $58.80!!! I'm so proud of myself!!!
I know that it isn't as little as some of you lot, BUT I normally spend about $125 - $150 with only enough to get me through ONE week. This will probably get us through a week and a half or two weeks.

Great job, That is a great feeling when you can get bargains especially for groceries. Coupons are very time consuming, but can save you lots of $$ throughout the year. I need to get back to serious couponing. Thanks for the reminder.

Way to go! Keep up the good work, and give yourself a pat on the back. You did just fine to start with...if some of these ladies are anything to go by! A lot of savings depends on the coupons in your area and your eating habits.

Misa,
That is fantastic! Any amount of savings is a win-win situation for those who choose the frugal lifestyle. I say even if you saved $20, you followed through with the way that many of us have been doing it for quite some time and saw results.
Kudos to you and Jeremy!
