Peanut's Money Makeover...has anyone else been reading it?
I must say, that thread is just what the doctor ordered for me. We have been hit hard with lots of $$ for those Murphy's ...transmission in car, tires, the window broke etc. 2 kids in college...medical bills..groceries.. I have been feeling frustrated and decided to reread Peanut's thread again. I feel so much better now.. As soon as I get off of here, I am going to get busy starting over again...Thanks so much Peanut for the inspirations..I really needed it. Keep posting us your updates and I will keep reading them and be inspired. Thanks again. Oh yeah, if you haven't read it and need your frugal battery recharged..go read the thread.

Occasionally - not every day.
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

Oh my!
Thank-you all! A thread about a thread!LOL Oh well. I figure if I'm going to be on this box, I am going to get some use out of it.
And by chronicling my day-to-day life I keep myself on track and accountable.
I do some pretty heavy justifying in parts of my thread. But you know, when I go back at the end of the month and re-read what I posted, I generally pick up on those and correct or adjust for them. It's funny what you don't see when you first write something, but it jumps out at you later...
We've almost reached our goal of $10,000 in our Emergency Fund. I will stop the thread after that. No point taking up bandwidth. Some other people can have their turn enlightening us through their lives!
Thanks for reading everyone...

Peanut I disagree about wasting bandwith.
If you are helping people then you are doing the right thing with the bandwith and that is the PURPOSE of the boards. The math never lies, budget in INK!
