How hot do you keep your home during winter months?
When we were in the city, we kept our house at 66 degrees all winter long, but for some reason we can't do that here.
First, I'm cold all the time it seems and second, being as this is an older house and a 2-storey, I've got it much closer to 69 and its still cool.
Just wondering what you keep your thermostat at?

I keep mine at 70 degrees. Sometimes I go cooler than that. I want to be comfortable.

68-70 most often, but I do live with the thermostat warden. He drives me nuts all winter long with turning the heat down all the time. I'm all for cutting costs and conserving, but geesh I can do without the little "power" struggle. LOL

Well, I'm Mrs. Heat Miser. We keep our home at around 63. When it's too warm, dh and I get really stuffy. We need the cool, dry air. Dd sleeps in footy pajamas and with a comforter and stays very healthy as well. It's off all day, then I'll turn it up to 67 when I get home from work and leave it there until after dd's bath, when I turn it back to 63.

I am a heat miser too, but I am also warm blooded! I keep it at 62-65 during the day (depends on how cold it is outside) and 65-67 at night. When we go to bed, the heater goes OFF. It will kick on if it gets below 50 in the house, but it very rarely gets that low.

i would freeze to death at your houses. I keep mine 72-74 all winter. i know i could get a sweater but, well okay this year maybe a little lower we didn't have any insulation in the whole house until this summer so now i may not freeze, but our house stays really cold regardless. Now my 9 yo will turn it up to 90 and enjoy it.

Mine is at 68-70 daytime, and a crisp 60 at night. I'd rather snuggle under the covers at night. I can't sleep when it's too warm.

We keep ours at about 68-72. We don't like it real warm at night either. We love snuggling under our quilts.
