New freezer installed.
Well today was the day. The big freezer went out of the house through the basement window, and the small freezer was moved into place.
It occurred to me at some point throughout the day that we might have too much frozen goods for the smaller freezer. Well, God is good! Everything just fit! But I tell you, I have no room to freeze anything else! DH and I are going to have to spend some time eating for awhile...maybe DD#2 can invite her BF over for supper more often...
I am going to have to go through both the fridge freezer and the basement freezer and seriously sort through stuff.

It was quite a production to move it. It was thundering and lightning and raining. I suggested to the guys a couple times they might want to wait a bit. But young men with testosterone and muscle said 'No! Let's do it!' LOL It had to go to the garage, which is not attached to the house...

Oh wow! We're still looking at a second freezer ourselves besides the chest freezer. Our chest freezer is like that; you can't fit anything more into it even if you tried. I barely had the room to stick a 4kg box of frozen chicken in the upstairs freezer.

Last shopping trip filled me up too and the bad news is I need to flip the old stuff up and the new stuff down.
Not a fun job.
One day I am going to fall in. I wonder how long it will take the family to find me.......
Glad the move went well and no one got hurt or nothing got broken. The math never lies, budget in INK!

I can totally relate. When I was shopping for a freezer I gave up the edge on energy efficiency to get an upright. I can't touch the bottom of a chest freezer. I had the same image -- unhappily, I was the star of the scenario. Nope. Don't think so.
