Default I have seen the comedy in comercials

Hehe this month with next to no income has lead to to become very depressed and all I have been doing is wanting to lay on the couch all day and all night. Not a good things while moving or a good thing right after a complete breakdown. Hubby has been forceing me to get up and do which has been torture. But in laying on the couch I have started laughing at the tv

Buy a new car for 21,000 and get 2,000 cash back to use to pay down those credit cards.( Actual script for comercial)

having to ask wedding reception quests for donations to pay for their meals b/c the pay day loan center would not give the bride a 1000 loan. Oh but the day before she went to a high end salon for a full spa, nail, and hair fun.(Bridezillas)

Spending 100,000,000 or more on a wedding to make it the best any one has ever seen. Come on now 35,000 for a wedding cake with 4,000 worth of edible gold (Platinum Weddings)

Slowly the drepressing started lifting as the money worries started melting. I have a roof over my head, food in the fridge, and gas in the car. I am not stupid though I know my phone and internet will get cut if hubby does not get paid Monday but I will pay them before I move. And when we move Hubby made sure after no lie spending 6hrs on the phone between cable and direct tv to finally get us DSL from the cable company for $50 less then through our phone company( right now I have dial up) and tv from Direct Tv and since we are current users we will be saveing $10 a month off our bill for the 1st year, free DVR, and FREE stars and Showtime for 6mths.

I really do not need all that I thought I did and surpiseingly it is possible for a family of 5 to live on only $500 for the month of July.

It's good you can laugh at the totally how totally silly some of the commercials are.....rather most..... . The things we 'buy into' are amazing, aren't they? Hang in there.....things will get better, soon.

It sounds as though you are in a better place now. I'm happy for you.

The commercials are really pushing the pay down your debt idea and we have laughed at several over the past 2 months.

Yeah, you either have to laugh at the TV or sigh in disgust. It really is amazing what they think they can sell people. Glad you're feeling better!

Thankfully, I don't see that many commercials here. I'm glad you got to see the silly side of alot of those and it made you feel more inspirational to get things done and to live with what you have. A roof over your head, clothing on your back and food on the table and the three most important things in your life that need to be solid, and they are.

Depression really stinks and I'm glad you found something to make you feel alot better.

It boggles the mind to see what some people spend on a wedding, or cars. On Bridezillas they need a reality check for sure.

On an episode within the last month one was the meanest, brat I've ever seen. It was actually hard to watch. This was the second time the guy was marrying her.

Why have a budget if your only going to say I don't care its my wedding and I'll have it.
( you can't have it if you can't pay for it )
    Bridezillas gets me so mad.

Well today we finally got a check in for 1/2 of what we were expecting and gave 1/2 of that to our landloed/Ray's boss for rent which they are working with us on and was reassured not to worry about being behind. Right now we are doing a ton of work on the new place and getting the old ready so they feel it will all balance out.

DH and me chuckle at so many things on TV. Our society has gone insane, truly.

"Get the money for your structured settlement NOW!!" (so you can blow thorugh it and then what?) "It's YOUR money--get it NOW!" Um--no, it's not.....

And don't get me started on the Bridezillas. I scream at the TV--"It's ONE DAY!!----quit being such a (w)itchy PRISS!!" GAWD.

Any fashion/thing/makeover show gets me crazy. All the money they spend on 'stuff' could feed a small country. Or educate kids. Or a million other REAL-reality based assistance programs.
