Exhausted but feeling good...
Well,
after getting so much inspiration from the forum last week and DSO playing golf on Sunday which ment I had the house to myself of Sunday, I decided that it was time to get organised with a hope that in turn that would help me to make frugality easier.
This is what I got up to...
1. Organised my wardrobe put aside some ball gowns to sell and some things to give to charity
2. Wrote down my christmas list of people to buy for as well as thoughts on what I might make / buy for them.
3. itemised my stockpile and got together a list of things that would be good to add to said stockpile if I see them at a good price.
4. Did a weeks worth of ironing, I won't be rushing around this week to get ready for work.
5. cleaned out the panty (this wnet hand in hand with the stockpile)
6. Cleaned out the fridge - incidentally found some apples that were over ripe so I peeled and cooked them for an apple pie that we had for dinner last night and put some in the freezer for next time we have guests and I will make another pie.
7. cleaned out the spare room, creted one box of things to sell on ebay (good bye debt) and also one box for gifts (this should save money at xmas and birthdays)
8. shopped for our produce at the farmers market (spent $16.00 - usually would spend about $50-$60 and got twice as much)
9. orgniased my beads in preparation for the stall that I will be having at the local craft market in a couple of weeks.
10. this morning as I left for work in my all ironed clothes I had some extra time so I wacked dinner in the slow cooker... it will be ready when I get home tonight and I won't have to do that.
Next week end - I plan to list on ebay all the items that I had collected from around the house and also work on doing some more decluttering. I am hopeful that this will make cleaning easier and our home look neater.
Ahh, I am so tired this morning but I should be feeling good for the rest of the week with less to do and being more organised.
All in all I feel great and a big thanks to every one last week for posting and giving me the inspiration!Debt 1 - Paid in Full (originally $750)

I'm tired just reading this, but it sure feels good doesn't it? Great job. I'm off to ride my bike to the local grocery for some garlic so I can make and freeze some pesto with all the wonderful basil we have in the garden right now!

You've really "banked" some free time, which is just as good as money, isn't it?
Congrats!

oops, speaking of garlic, I forgot one thing from the list - I cleaned out my haerb beds and planted some more seeds to replenish the ones that have been used too much.

That was indeed a good day! You've motivated me. I'm in the throes of seeing DD#2 off to university halfway across the continent this week. But after she's gone...I'm already planning!!!

Wow! You got so much done, I'm really impressed. It won't take much time at all for you to catch up on rest. More importantly, your mind will be rested.

Good job! I've learned that organization goes hand in hand with frugality. Keep up the good work.
How much we enjoy what we have is more important than how much we have. Life is full of people who have more than they know what to do with, but cannot be content. It is the capacity to enjoy life that brings contentment.---Unknown

Okay, so you totally motivated me. I headed into the utility room to de-clutter some camping equipment, and found DH had moved a bunch of big pieces of lumber and plywood in front of the shelving unit holding the camping supplies! I can't move them by myself. Sigh. Seems that's the way it goes around here. I'm really glad you had such a successful day...but now I'm frustrated and envious!
