Going without cell phones...
starting Sept 1st for me & Sept 9 for the boys (DH & DS).

Apparently my phone was no longer on contract (stupid sprint! lol!!! works for me tho!) which is funny cuz all 3 phones were on the same contract! The boys phones will be going on "standby" for the next 6 months which means instead of paying $80-$100/month we will go to $10/month instead of having to pay the $400 something to turn them off!
We also went down to 2 movies/month w/netflix for $5/month rather than 3/at a time (unlimited), as we get cable for super cheap (dh works with cable company ~ so pkg deal with internet, phone, cable for 3 tv's w/dvr for 2 is megacheap.
Also. I now have a part-time job w/the school district working 5 hours/day working in the kitchen at a middle school, DH & I are ALMOST completely out of debt! We have about $7000 to go but we are working our plan! I still have my job at the church doing childcare part time whenever they need me. AND when I was out shopping for the "uniform" that I need to be able to work in the kitchen... I hit a ton of sales & needless to say got great deals on what I needed to buy anyway!!! The goal is IN SIGHT!!!!!!!! YEAH!!!!
OK & one more brag... (I know that you all are the only ones that understand the excitement so I can share with you w/o sounding like a loon!), when I was looking for my khaki pants, I found out that I am NOW a size 16 & size 18's are almost gaping big
(I used to be a size 22 & just about popping out of them!)... YEAH!!!!

Thank you! You & your Dh WILL get there... you just have to keep plugging away at it! When Dh & I got married we had (together) about $25,000 of debt (including my ring & his truck). My ring will be paid off at the end of Jan 2009 & his truck was paid off last August! & MY student loan has right about $2000 on it. Unfortunately, I cosigned on a loan for a friend (b/c I didn't think my credit was good enough to be able to cosign on a loan for her AND b/c I didn't want to tell her no... funny these days I no longer have problems saying "NO, I don't feel comfortable with doing that with MY money and MY name!") & of course, cliche' of all cliche's she has not tried to pay them back ... so we will just pay it off w/o telling her & we no longer "lend $$" altho if we can afford to we may just give them $$ to help them out of a tight spot ~once!!!
