Did you get any refund magazines? I got most all of them at one time or another. My two favorites were Refund Express and Refunding Makes Cents ... Oh, and my first refund magazine I remember was called Moneytalk.

For me, this [refunding was a full time job] but was a fun one!

Nowdays, you need to have receipts date between this time and that time and so on and so forth.

Way back in the day, we didn't need receipts and it was so much easier [and more profitable as well!] I started refunding between 1975 and 1977 when my kids were babies.
Just found this thread again. With me it was more than a full time job. I loved it. I had one room dedicated to Q's with shelves and shelves. Books and books of forms that my sister in law and mother and I would go out hunting down. Take turns driving to hunt and had a ball being out together. We would McDonalds for coffee a few times while we were out. It wasn't nothing to go to other towns to look for forms to use and swap at conventions.
My mother used to go to Vegas to swaps. I never went there. I usually went to ones in Ohio, Indiana, W VA, Daytona ( lived in Ohio at time and combined with vacation ) and PA.

But the conventions were the best. They were weekend long starting on Friday nights and going thu Sundays with a fee to get in and covering trading room and meals. After trading room was closed about 11 PM we would continue going from peoples rooms to rooms. We all had snacks and coffee to share with other traders and caught up on everyone lives as we were swapping. We all got to know each other very well. I miss that too. Alot.

Remember one where I had a crapload of Barbies I had gotten on clearance at Walmart. Must have been maybe 15 give or take. Paid about 3 to 5 for them. Sold them for 20 to 25 in deals. And the Barbie ( off brand ) clothes I paid maybe 2 to 3 for and sold for 10 in deals. Once found the Russkin Teddies Which were really hot at one time paid 10 and sold for 50 in deals. Cabbage Patch oh man. Found somewhere cheap, about 10 or so and think sold those for like 75. I had 2 ladies that did most all their Christmas shopping thu me cause they didn't have alot of money but they sure had the deals, forms and Q's to trade. They usually mostly cleared me out. But anything would trade from aspirin to hair dye. Like said those were the day. We also had separate notebooks with free coupons we didn't really want to trade for ones we did or complete deals. Yes, notebooks full of free coupons.

I got several magazines. Main one was Moneytalk. Knew the lady personally and traded with her many times. Good friend of my mothers. She lived in PA I think. She came to my Mothers house in Ohio several times bringing stuff for little mini swaps for whoever we could get together. Name was Rosemary. Nice lady. Refunding Makes Cents and a couple more.

Now can't find a form to save my life. I look once in awhile. But it's nothing like it used to be and man do I miss it. Not just the money and the freebies but the getting together. Ahh...those were the days
