    Default Basement Boutique

I went shopping at the Basement Boutique again today. Its in the church basement in a small town close to us and nothing is over $2.00 that I've seen so far.

    For $4.00 I got:

    - winter underwear for Michael
    - underwear for Michael
    - Beautiful sweater for Chelsey

I love this place. It is well used, has really nice clothes and the prices are right!!

A Church in the town next to mine has a "food bank" but it is not set up for needy people. Needy people are given boxes of food at no cost but anyone can go in and buy food and other stuff (bread, cakes, hair color) for a quarter a pound. It is only on Thursdays and it is always crowded but it is worth it. I have enough hair dye to last me for a year and it only cost me $1. Today I got some soup,a pie,a case of carnation instant breakfast drink and some other stuff for $6.

That's great, Cj! I went shopping myself and found wintercoats for dh, ds and I, plus a new tuque, a very nice t-shirt for dh and a small wintercoat for a friend's son...all for $12.00 at a local thrift shop!
