Default The right place at the right time.

I ran into the grocery store after picking dd up from school and managed to snag hamburger meat on quick sale.

    $54 worth for about $24.

I made 14 bundles for the deep freezer. I will take the money from my budgeted $100 left for the month on groceries but to tell the truth I still have enough chicken and fish to get through THIS month in the deep freezer so I will NOT be buying any meat with the $76 I have left for shopping so I will really be working on grocery stockpiling and you sure get a lot once you cut out most prepackaged food.

I also had Mom give me some celery and a tomato--organics--so I diced them up and cooked them a bit in some garlic and then added a little ground beef I had yesterday that needed to be cooked and cooked it all a bit.
Tomorrow I will add some tomato sauce and simmer it down til the veggies are soft and serve the veggie meat mixture over mashed potatoes--a treat my Mama used to make us when we were little that we loved so dinner is pretty much already fro tomorrow and half of it was free.

You know, money is still really tight this month(dh and his dang fish tourny) but everything is still all staying sane and getting done and I am working the budget and the money very well.

Just wanted to share my good fortune today.
