Style and fashion isn't a concern when I CAN buy clothes.........why would it become a concern when I can't???

COMFY is my thing..........and I could FOR SURE go nude before I could wear wool next to my skin!!
I look at it this way.........lots of other people would have to be nude too, so what would it matter? BTDT....and liked it.

If a choice between woolen undies and nude, I'd be choosing the 'road less travelled' for sure! I like the t-shirt undie idea!
Vermont has two seasons: Wintah and the Fourth of July.

You two obviously have never had a soft merino woolen next to your skin. It's soft as a baby's bottom if it's the good stuff. I'd chose it any day over going nude.

My kids and I would be just fine. We have fairly large wardrobes now, and I am a good sewist and I know how to knit. I don't have a large fabric stash, but I could easily remake the clothes we have using my pattern stash. If necessary I could trade my sewing (and canning and baking) skills for other needed items like produce, fish and game.
As much as I enjoy my very modern career I have always thought there was value in maintaining old fashioned skills. If push comes to shove my family would be in a pretty good position.
