Talking Starting the carpool on monday!

A friend of mine that lives in the same county just started working with me this past week. I drive 35 miles one way to work and she lives about 25 miles away from my house. She is in a much smaller communtiy and the cost of living is way less so a longer commute to work is the trade off. We decided that if she drove to my house then we could ride together from there and either split the gas cost or alternate vehicles. She has a car that was wrecked but still in fairly good shape and gets great MPG so we may drive it to work and keep teh miles off of our "good" cars! Either way it will save me about 30 dollars a week in gas!

Check in your state if they have a carpooling organization. If they have one you should sign up because you could get an emergency ride home benefit. If your carpool partner had to leave then you could get a ride home for free.
