Default Cost of Pumpkins this year?

What are they in your area?

The cheapest I have seen is .18 per pound. Wondering if we should grab some this week or hold out in hopes of lower prices?

Hmmm...nice cheap price. Ours are really expensive comparatively. $4 for 8 lbs. of pumpkin. That's 50 cents a pound... But it's a lot cheaper than canned pumpkin. A small can is $2.50.

We have a local grower that is dirt cheap. At hugh pumpkin 20-40 pounders were $2.00! You bet I'm going back.

at walmart i got a 10 lb for 4.98 i was excited about that, but the prices here have been lower...i just don't know where!

So far i have made soup with it and am pureeing some for later. the chickens ate the stringy bits and i baked up the seeds. so for five bucks it went far...but still...

Right now, we can get 10-15 lb pumpkin for 1.99-2.99! I'm happy about that. I can find pie pumpkins (3-4 lb) for 0.99.

I've seen ours either $5.00 or $2.50 each. No weight given, they were good-sized, though.

    small sugar pumpkins - .29/lb
    large pumpkin -- $6.99 each

I bought a sugar pumpkin last week and was disappointed, it was 'webby' inside... as in spider!

I will try again the next time I am in the store, but I don't think the prices will get much lower than that.

I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!
