    Default water bottle

I'm finally going to get off the expensive soda wagon...I'm hooked on Coke Zero. I really need to make water my primary drink. I need a refillable water bottle I can take everywhere with me. I'm kind of wary of the metal bottles I see everywhere. I need something that will keep the water cold and doesn't condensate excessively. Any suggestions?

I really dislike water. We have a filter on our refrigerator dispenser and my dh and sons like it, but I still don't like it. I prefer mineral enhanced water, but I think I'm going to try to make myself get used to the water without it.

Drinking water over soda will be healthier and we will save money. Thanks for any and all suggestions!

Maybe you could get a kind of insulated tall glass or something like that to use.

Tupperware used to sell an insulated tall cup that has a straw top. I'm sure you could find something you'd like at Target or Walmart. Look in the Sporting Goods section.

I got a few bottles from WalMart that were made in USA for like $1 each. I just put a bit of water in the bottom and put them in the freezer so that I only have to take them out and add the water to them. Then I am ready to go. I also have another one that one of my kids won from the YMCA that I do the same thing with.

I basically only drink water and coffee. I need to up my water intake and lower my coffee one however.

I got water bottles from the Drug store made of corn so I wouldn't have to worry about plastic leeching any toxins in my girls water.

Hi my name is Lisa and I'm a (former) Dr. Pepper addict. Oh man it's tough to do but once you start drinking only water (well I have coffee in the a.m.'s) you won't want anything else.....after a while. It is cheaper, healthier and you really start to crave it like mad. I never dreamed I'd get to *here* with water..... Hang in there!

I agree....this was my experience too....and if you end up tasting some cola, you'll taste nothing but chemicals and wonder why in the world you used to think that was good.

Be sure to get an insulated bottle. It will definitely keep it colder, but it prevents all that condensation.

I should do the freezing some water in the bottom trick. I usually put ice cubes in mine, and as they rattle around, I sound like my own little traveling percussion section walking down the hall to work.

I would have never thought to look in the sporting goods or drug store. Thanks! I have bought all kinds of different water bottles in the past, but I have never found one that is truly comfortable to drink from that will fit in my cup holders in my van except the bottled water.

I got one of the big gulp kegs! I fill it with ice and water and even outside the ice last a day, sometimes 2!!!
I also use plastic water bottles, fill them 1/3 with water and freeze them, so I fill them all the way with water right before I go out and they have ice in them until after the water is gone usually!!!

I pretty much drink unsweet iced tea all day except for coffee.

Yes, a southern woman who doesn't drink SWEET iced tea! We do exist outside the myth! LOL

You might want to start with adding lemon or even some juice - like cranberry - to work on getting used to drinking water.

When you look for a plastic water bottle, look at the recycling code on the bottom. Stay away from anything with a 7 on it.

I use SIGG bottles and love them, I know you said no metal but they beat plastic any day.

I add stevia to my water. While I was pregnant with my first child, water started tasting metallic and it still does.

There are even flavored stevias. They are nummy, but spendy.
