    Default ***chirp chirp(crickets chirping)chirp chirp***

    Well gee whiz!

I sat down last night with my trusty bill/ debt/budget/stockpile notebook binder and spiral last night. It is getting close to the end of the month. All paydays have happened. Any money we will have,we have. Time to see what is left if any(AOL??) find my balances and close out the month.

    Okay done.

Now I got a new columnar sheet, write out all the bill names I pay, savings, everything just like every month and estimate the amounts of the bills to the nearest whole dollar. Same old same old thing I do every month at this time.

Pull out my budget spiral and make 4 payday columns and add the amounts of the checks always estimating commisions LOW so there are no unpleasant surprises to make me flip out. Okay done.

Then I go to start subtracting what bill goes under what check to be paid etc~~~my mind goes completely BLANK!!I can't seem to remember how to pay my bills????? I just started guessing and it was all wrong. I get to the 3rd check and realise dh has no allowances, he didn't get his meds.....WHAT THE HECK.!?

Lol I guess I was just tired.

I am going to get the booger done today! I have my old spirals so I have a guide plan.

    WHAT THE HECK????

Anyone else just ever lose it like this???

I have a three-story house, and there is nothing that frustrates me more than going up or down three flights, then drawing a total blank as to why I was headed that direction. More than once....

lol madhen - i have a single story house and I forget what i walked into the next room for! lol

but yes cricketlegs... we have ALL done something like this.

last week i was in the middle of knitting a xmas gift... i'd been working on it for a couple hours... took a small snack break and eyeball break (to do some cleaning)... came back about an hour later, had NO idea what i'd just worked on or how to get started.

that was my cue to let it be for the rest of the day.

When I am piecing a quilt and I get tired I know better than to press on because I make the biggest hardest to fix mistakes.

I actually had myself evaluated, some years ago, to see if I had ADD. I was losing stuff left and right, doing things like leaving the faucet on in the kitchen sink because I'd go to fill it up, then forget and wander off and get started on something else, etc. Turns out I don't have ADD; I just have the attention span of a magpie.

LOL! This sounds so like me. I have a friend who insists I'm ADD, but truth be told, I simply just don't have the attention span. I like to think that I think too fast for my own good! but truth is I am easily distracted, and I tire easily. Nope, cricketlegs, you aren't the only one suffering this affliction! I hear it gets worse after you turn forty.

The other day I was logging into my bank account to do my bill pay and suddenly I couldn't remember my bank password. Like I had no clue what it was at all and this is an account I log into daily. I have to say I'm only 36 and there is no family history of dimentia but holy moly that actually made me kind of nervous!

You are so not alone! I often walk into a room and forget why I went there. I put french bread in the broiler and have to keep saying "bread, bread, bread" out loud or I'll forget about it and it will burn! Sometimes I'll even get stumped on how to spell a word that I've been writing all my life. For no reason it will just look funny to me!

Yes, you go down two flights, stand there and scratch your head for bit, give up, go UP two flights, and THEN remember what you needed on the ground floor!

I am glad I'm not the only one who has to say things out loud to keep from forgetting. When I first moved out here, I would always forget whether I closed the gates behind me on my way to work. I would have to drive back to check. So I started saying aloud, "The gate is closed." when I closed each one, and somehow, that worked to make me remember the action.

I will go down (or up) a flight of stairs or into a room, muttering, "yarn, yarn, yarn" or "Feed the dogs, feed the dogs, feed the dogs...."

ROFL, DH asks if i have the "back-up" loaf prepared when he sees me put garlic bread in the oven. Or I will go somewhere, get to the end of the block and forget why i am going there. Usuallythe kids know so they can tell me when i do that where were going, lol.
