    Unhappy Blew it today!

    Seemed everywhere I went today, something just had to be bought!

    I was busy, I mailed packages to my sister,DH's brother. Took forms to the tax preparer, DH's suit to the cleaners. Used my free $10 worth of groceries coupon. All of that I was supposed to do.

    But, I also went to the consignment store and found the desk chair I'd wanted and hadn't bought (Pottery Barn $$$, antique store $$, still too much) for $18. Also, two slide carriers for $5 total. (DH is a film freak.)

    In my own defense I'll say that I also went into the used bookstore and both parts of a thrift shop and didn't buy anything.

    But I went in a card shop and got 2 magnets for Christmas gifts ($2.50 each) an antique store and bought a wire rack ($18), a big lots store and bought food ($32). THEN I went to the market and spent $32 on more food.

    Sigh.

    It sounds like you did pretty good to me. Granted you spent money but you got good deals. If you waited on the desk in the consignment shop, it might have been gone the next time you were there.

    Other than the "more food" part, which only you know if you needed or not, I think you did okay.

    I agree, you found deals. I hate it when I find what I have been looking for but don't have the $ then when I go back with the $, it's gone.

    Dont beat yourself up over it.
    Ya did some things that are good... xmas gifts and a great new chair for way less than any place else... you'll be comfy and ppl will love the thought and gift you got for them.

    You didnt blow it, you just grabbed at a fabulous opportunity when you saw it.
